23/06/-09/07/2006 animation &single channel video art festival Move on Asia -Clash and Network-

The curators of twelve art spaces from six countries in Asia, presents 22 emerging artists in the category of video art. The exhibition will go to Japan, China, Australia and Singapore after the exhibition in Korea. The invited artworks represent the keen sensibility and insightful judgment towards today's economy and politics in the current Asian society. This exhibition represents various views on video art by Asian emerging artists. This will provide the opportunity to draw the future of video art with a new cultural value of Asia rather than performing as one event of the international exchanging show.

21/06/2006 Art in the city presentation 01 [Talk & Live performance by Chikako Watanabe + Emer]

The Netherlands- based artist, Chikako Watanabe will talk about her projects: Projects in Almere(2003-) and Survival Net Project(1999), as well as her research and workshop she's currently working on in the residency programme of Akiyoshidai International Art Village, Yamaguchi. You'll enjoy the organic food from the farmer Watanabe met in the project in Yamaguchi. Live performance by Emer is also scheduled!

remember 3rd monday is a presentation that takes place on the 3rd Monday of every month. The presentations at remo are open from 19:00 to 21:00 to visitors and anyone who would like to present their works for free. Works should be brought in on the 3rd Monday of the month. It also serves as a platform for discussion with viewers and creators after the screening.
Also, we set up the new programme "remoscope", whose works are along with the Lumiere rules. (please see the conditions below)

Dorothy Kidd
Dr. Dorothy Kidd is a media educator, independent media producer and communications consultant for 30 years, working with citizen groups in radio, video and film.
She also published in the areas of political economy of media, media and social change and community media. currently she works on co-editing the collection “Making Our Media: mapping global initiatives toward a democratic public sphere.”
